  • Membership will be issued to any person who has an interest in electronic publishing for serious purposes.

Section 2

  • The titles of the elected officers are President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Project managers (team leaders) will be assigned on a rotating basis rather than chosen by vote.

Section 1

  • Officers shall be elected at the first meeting of the year. Candidates shall be nominated by those in attendance (self-nomination is permitted). Candidates gaining a plurality of the vote will then assume the office they are elected to.

Section 2

  • If during the course of the year an officer resigns or is removed from office, elections shall be held for that office. Replacements shall be selected from those members who are not currently holding an office.

  • Specific duties for each office will be designated.

Section 1

Section 2

  • The secretary will keep the minutes of all meetings, take the role, and tally votes. The secretary will also coordinate announcements for upcoming meetings using e-mail.

Section 3

  • The treasurer shall monitor and log all club assets, income, and expenditures. The treasurer will also determine the funds necessary for each club activity and budget funds accordingly.

Section 4

  • The project manager will oversee the creation of a website and its maintenance. The project manager will determine which activities will be necessary for the design and construction of the website and will assign responsibilities and deadlines to other members of their team. The manager will monitor and coordinate the work of the team. The project manager will serve as the lead editor for the website. The project manager will also determine and coordinate future additions, updates, and general maintenance of the site.

Article VI

Meetings:

  • Meetings shall be held whenever it is deemed necessary by the club members or officers. Officers may hold their own organizational meetings provided that all the officers are informed about them.

Article VII

Amendments:

  • Amendments may be made at any time of the year. Officers may not propose and ratify an amendment on their own. A waiting period of at least one week must elapse between the time the amendment is proposed and the time it is ratified in order to allow club members time to consider it carefully. A proposed amendment must receive support from at least 2/3 of the club members in order to take effect.

Article VIII

  • The constitution shall be voted on at the first meeting of each year whereupon it shall be ratified by a 2/3 majority, amended, or discarded and a new constitution drawn up.
