Notes

In the examples below, the line button will refer to your extension. Please substitute your extension wherever the line button is displayed.

The Line button above refers to your extension. This number will vary from phone to phone. The phones without a display will have two instances of the extension. The top two instances of your extension will be available for incoming and outgoing calls. The third instance of your extension will be exclusively for outgoing calls.

If you are a department contact, you may have line status of various people in your department. The basic features of the phone, however, will remain the same.

Features

 

Conference Calls

Procedure





  • Connect with the first party
  • Press the conf button
  • Dial the number of the new party
  • Once the party answers, press conf again.
  • Repeat the process to add additional parties.

Conferencing Two Held Calls








  • Connect with the first line
  • Press the conf button
  • Press the line of the held call
  • Then press conf again.

Removing the Last Party

  • Press the drop button.
    You will only be able to drop the party last added.

Hold


  • Press the hold button.
  • You may answer a new call or conduct other business
  • To return to the held call, press the appropriate line button

Transfer


To send a present call to another extension or outside number:
  • Press the transfer button
  • Dial the number where the call is to be transferred.
  • You may announce the call if you wish.
  • Then, press transfer again.
  • Hang up.

Redial

To automatically dial the last number you called:
  • Press the feature code *9
  • Or, you may use the menu feature Last

Send all Calls



Sends all calls to coverage.
  • Press send calls (SAC), if available.
  • If not, press the access code *3.

Canceling Send All Calls



To cancel Send All Calls:
  • Press Send Calls, if available
  • If not, press #3

Personalized Ringing



REPEAT



To select a personalized ring:
  • Press Shift
  • Then, press hold
  • Your current ring will play
  • To cycle through all 8 ring patterns, continue to press and release hold.
  • If you have a display, you may use the next or prev buttons to cycle through the patterns
  • When you hear the desired ring pattern, press Shift again.

Speakerphone




To listen to a call without lifting the handset:
  • Press Speaker
  • Place or answer the call, or access selected feature.
  • Adjust speaker volume if necessary using the volume button (left side to lower, right side to raise volume)

Mute



To prevent the other party from hearing you:
  • Press the mute button.
  • To disengage the mute feature, press mute again.

Ringer Volume

To adjust the volume, use the volume button. Pressing the right side of the button raises the volume. The left side lowers volume.

Speakerphone




To place or answer a call without lifting the handset:
  • Press Speaker
  • Place or answer the call, or access selected feature.
  • Adjust speaker volume if necessary using the volume button (left side to lower, right side to raise volume)

Mute



To prevent the other party from hearing you:
  • Press the mute button.
  • To disengage the mute feature, press mute again.

Reset Speakerphone


To adjust the speakerphone to the surrounding room acoustics:
  • While on hook, press Shift
  • Then press Speaker
  • You will hear a series of tones.

Drop

The drop function is quite useful.
  • If you are dialing a call and make an error, press drop for a a dial tone.
  • If you would like to remove the last added party in a conference call, press drop.
  • If you would like to end a call and place another without replacing the handset, press drop.

Shift

The Shift button adds increased functionality to your Lucent Phone. Some operations such as ringer volume adjustment, reset of the speakerphone and others may require you to use the shift button.

Test

This button is reserved for telecommunications use.
