Notes

In the examples below, the line button will refer to your extension. Please substitute your extension wherever the line button is displayed.

The Line button above refers to your extension. This number will vary from phone to phone. The phones in the classrooms will have two instances of the extension for incoming and outgoing calls.

Features

 

Conference Calls

Procedure





  • Connect with the first party
  • Press the conf button
  • Dial the number of the new party
  • Once the party answers, press conf again.
  • Repeat the process to add additional parties.

Conferencing Two Held Calls








  • Connect with the first line
  • Press the conf button
  • Press the line of the held call
  • Then press conf again.

Removing the Last Party

  • Press the drop button.
    You will only be able to drop the party last added.

Hold


  • Press the hold button.
  • You may answer a new call or conduct other business
  • To return to the held call, press the appropriate line button

Transfer


To send a present call to another extension or outside number:
  • Press the transfer button
  • Dial the number where the call is to be transferred.
  • You may announce the call if you wish.
  • Then, press transfer again.
  • Hang up.

Send all Calls



Sends all calls (SAC)to coverage.

Classroom phones are programmed to send all calls to coverage between the hours of 7:55 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. If you wish to continue sending all calls to coverage after 3:15 p.m., do the following:

  • Press send calls (SAC), if available.
  • If not, press the access code *3.

Canceling Send All Calls



To cancel Send All Calls:
  • Press Send Calls, if available
  • If not, press #3

Ringer Volume

To adjust the volume, use the volume button. Pressing the right side of the button raises the volume. The left side lowers volume.

Speakerphone




 
To listen to a call without lifting the handset:
  • Press Speaker.  Note:  this is a one-way speaker - you can hear the caller, they can't hear you.

Drop

The drop function is quite useful.
  • If you are dialing a call and make an error, press drop for a a dial tone.
  • If you would like to remove the last added party in a conference call, press drop.
  • If you would like to end a call and place another without replacing the handset, press drop.

Test

This button is reserved for telecommunications use.

Feature

This button is used to access pre-programmed numbers. For example, if you wish to reach the contact person in the Middle School, you would press the Feature button and 4.

Last Number Called

 


  • Press the Feature button and 2 to automatically re-dial the last number you called.
