Scanning using MS Photo Editor (Pictures)

Back to Hardware Tutorials

  1. Place image to scan on Scanner bed.
  2. Choose Start, Programs, Utilities and Microsoft Photo Editor.
  3. Choose File from menu bar of Photo Editor and then select Scan Image.
  4. HP PrecisionScan Pro program will now open.
    • If Kodak Software opens you have the wrong Scan Source selected.
    • Choose File, Select Scanner Source.
    • Choose HP PrecisionScan Pro 1.0 as the scan source.
    • Click Select.
    • Now choose File and Scan Image.
  5. Click on the Preview Scan Button on the Toolbar.
    • Scanner will then scan your picture.
  6. Choose the area you wish to scan.

    • This means you can crop your picture to a certain area or size or scan the whole picture in.
  1. Choose File from the Menu bar and choose Place Image.
    • This will place the image into MS Photo Editor.
  2. Edit your Photo, if needed and choose File, Save As.
  3. Choose location to save file and save file as a .jpg file.
