Lost/Stolen/Damaged Equipment Policy
Equipment loaned out with the
authorization of faculty/staff members is the responsibility
of that employee. Loss or damage due to negligence
(such as leaving a camera laying around unattended) may
result in a charge to that individual of the replacement
cost of the item. In case of such loss or damage while in the possession
of a student, the authorizing person may ask the student to
pay this amount to the school. If the student's parent
or guardian signed an
Student Equipment Loaner Agreement it specifies that they
are assuming financial responsibility for the item-- and
can be held liable for any loss or damage to
the item (normal wear out or equipment breakdown not
included).
For accidental or unavoidable loss or
damage no such liability will be enforced.

FAQ
Question: Doesn't the school's
insurance cover equipment loss/damage while checked out to
faculty or staff?
Answer: It would except the policy has a
deductible higher than the value of any individual item we
make available for checkout; so effectively no.
