Checkout Policies
Information
Services has two cell phones that can be checked
out, by Faculty and Staff, for the following school use:

As an
emergency contact number while on class trips or
off-campus events.

Phones are
provided upon request only.
To request a cell phone, you should:

E-mail the
Help Desk, providing your name and both the
check out and return dates. Information Services will
reply to your request within 2 business hours.

Please give as much notice as possible so that
Information Services can process your request.

Phones
must be returned within 1 business day of the stated
return date to ensure availability to others.
Note:
Given the limited number of phones available, they may need
to be reassigned subsequent to approval if one need is
higher priority than another.

Cary Academy is currently under Cingular's
National FamilyTalk Plan:
-
Extensive coverage including major cities
Map.
-
1400 anytime minutes (peak time M-F, 6:00
a.m. - 8:59 p.m.) are shared over all 5 of Cary
Academy's phones. Unused minutes are rolled over
into the next month.
-
Free Nationwide Long Distance, Roaming,
Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, Caller ID.
-
Unlimited Night minutes are Mon. - Thurs.
9 p.m. - 5:59 a.m. Weekend minutes are Fri. 9 p.m. - Mon
5:59 a.m.
-
Unlimited Mobile-to-Mobile minutes apply
to calls made to and from Cingular wireless customers that
originate and terminate within the National FamilyTalk network coverage area.
