Digital Photography Outline, Syllabus, and Calendar

13 Week Trimester
12 Weeks of In-Class Instruction

 

This course takes previous knowledge from prerequisite photography course(s) and builds on it using digital media. Students will learn how to take digital photos (using a variety of methods such as digital cameras, card readers, scanners, or working with photos on the web) and correct them adding enhancements using primarily Adobe PhotoShop along with other possible software titles to produce prints and publications; these titles may include products such as Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign and Adobe ImageReady (for web design). Students will learn about digital composition, basic to intermediate special effects and techniques, single and multiple photo manipulation and beginning knowledge of desktop publishing towards the end of the course. Students work in a group-conducive environment in this project-driven course.
