Middle School traffic procedure – update
Permission Slip
for Middle School Pick Up at the Upper School
Although traffic has settled into a routine, and vehicles
are moving through the line at a reasonable rate, we would
like to further expedite the process. To help achieve this
goal while keeping safety for the students at the forefront,
please review the following procedures and alternatives you
may not have considered.
- Parents should drop off and pick up their children
along the sidewalk that runs in front of the
Middle School and extends to Research Drive.
If you park on the hill leading up to Research Drive, please get out of your vehicle and accompany
your child should he or she have to cross the street.
If you have a child in the middle school only, you
must pick up in front of the middle school (supervised
pick up).
If you have children in both divisions, you may pick
up in front of the Upper school (unsupervised pickup).
If you choose this option, complete the form below.
If you want your middle school child to drive home
with an upper school driver, the middle schooler can
leave with that student from the upper school
(unsupervised pickup). If you choose this option,
complete the form below.
No students are to be picked up in front of the
administration building.
Please remind your child that you want them out in
front of the middle school promptly at dismissal
watching for you. The teachers remind them of this on a
daily basis, but a little parental pressure would be
helpful.
No u-turns.
Adhere to campus speed limit and parking signs.
Exercise patience. To circumvent the procedures is to
risk the safety of your child as well as that of other
children.
