8th Grade Celebration Attire

Girls:

·     A solid white or solid off-white (ivory) dress with no plunging necklines (front or back), no spaghetti straps, and no strapless dresses.

·     The appropriate dress length is mid-calf or ankle-length.

·     No see-through material (a slip may help).

·     Shoes:  no athletic shoes, flip-flops, slides, or unusually high heels.  The girls will do quite a bit of walking during the day, including going down steps, going up steps, and crossing a wooden stage.  The shoes need to be sturdy, comfortable, and appropriate for a formal ceremony.

·     The dress does not need to be expensive.  Penny’s, Marshall’s, Sears, and other less expensive stores carry very nice dresses.

 Boys:

·      A dark suit with light colored dress shirt with tie and belt; or

·      Dark or khaki dress pants and sport coat with light colored dress shirt with tie and belt.

·      Dark socks and dark shoes—no athletic shoes or sandals.
