§ 2- 1” 3-ring binders  (each needs to be divided into 3 sections, one per subject) and one for blank paper)

§ 3 highlighters (yellow, orange and green)

§ Box of thin Crayola markers

§ Carabiner (for locker)

§ Calculators:

§  Transitional Math students may use their TI 34 II Explorer+ calculator  (Transitional Math students purchasing a new calculator may wish to purchase the TI 84+ Silver Edition instead of the TI 34 II Explorer; the TI 84+ does all that the Explorer does and will be used in later math classes as well.)

§   Algebra and Geometry students will need to have a graphing calculator; the TI 84+ Silver Edition Graphing Calculator is recommended.

Required-All Students (for Physical Education)

§ PE Uniform – CA blue mesh shorts & CA reversible mesh scrimmage jersey (Uniform may be purchased during PE class the first week of school; same uniform as used in 6^th grade) 

§ Athletic gym shoes (kept in gym locker all year)

§ T-Shirt  to wear under the scrimmage jersey (different from the one worn to school that day; keep in gym locker)

Required-Chorus Students

§ 6- #2 pencils (to be left in the chorus room with binder)

§ 2-blank (recordable) CDs with covers

§ Notebook paper

Required-Band Students

Note:  All Middle School students will be issued a Cary Academy student planner at the start of the school year; this planner will be billed to the student’s account in August 2008.
