British Propaganda of the Great War
     Taken from the pages of Punch, the British humor magazine, this is a collection of articles, poems, and stories from 1914-1915.

World War I - Trenches on the Web
     A comprehensive site including an enormous amount of information on the Great War. This site has maps, timelines, biographies, images, battles, weapons, armies, and every other topic you could imagine.  Start off by visiting the Reference Library and if that doesn't work, search the site index. 
The Great War Society
     Similar to the site above, this site is a huge index of links to Great War subjects. 
The Great War
     An interesting site from PBS providing highlights of the Great War, interviews, a timeline, maps and locations and a list of helpful links. 
The First World War
     The resources on this site are extensive including Chronology, Military and Political Leaders, Soldiers, War at Sea, Battles, Trench War, War in the Air, Technology, British Home Front, War Statistics and more.
BBC News - World War I
     Using personal accounts and historical analysis, BBC News looks back on WWI. Check out letters, memorials, articles, battles and more.  
The Great War in a Different Light
     A collection of news articles and excerpts from period history books. This site contains topics that are more "off the beaten path" such Christmas in the Trenches, an eyewitness account to the first gas attack, illustrations of nurses during war, and more.  Includes images and descriptions. 
The Italian Front: 1915-1918
    Includes topics such as the geography of the Italian Front, Doughboys in Italy, a virtual tour of the Italian Front, a chronology of diplomacy and operations of the Italian Front and more.
Museum of the Great War
    Includes short descriptions and some images of days of war, children in the war, prisoners, the Balkans, posters, trench craft, and postcards. 
Imperial War Museum
     A multi-branch national museum of Britain where you can search the British Imperial War Museum, Cabinet War Rooms, and the HMS Belfast for topics from 1914 onward. 
The Liberty Memorial Museum of WWI
     Discover WWI phrases, terms, and slang, view a WWI timeline, view objects from the war, maps and more. Has a limited numbers of images and is mostly useful as a source of extra information.

     Includes photos and descriptions of all World War I aircraft. 
The Aerodrome
     An interesting site of aces and aircraft of World War I. Includes a list of medals and decorations by country as well. 
Navies of World War I
     Read about weapons and warships of the world's navies, look up naval and military events month by month during WWI, and read detailed campaign summaries. 
Military Plans and the First World War
     Discover how military plans dictated initial military moves of the Great War. Covers military plans of France, Eastern Europe, Russia and more. 
Armory
