Rules:
- No food, candy, drinks, or chewing gum.
- Do not lock computers; please log off.
- Do not leave tablet computers unattended.
- The copy machine is provided for school work only.
- Noise must be kept to a minimum so that others may work.
- All cell phones should be turned off while in the library

For Middle School Students: |
- Middle School students are welcome to come to the library before
school, during break and during enrichment. Those wishing to come
after school must have a note from a parent and a school pass from
the teacher who has assigned the work for the student.
- There is a separate,supervised after school program in the
Middle School beginning at 3.10 for Middle School students.

Equipment / Resources
The
Library has 12 computers for student use. These computers are
available for accessing any information available on the Cary Academy
network including access to the Internet.
Two computers have additional art software and scanners.
One computer has been reserved for self check out using a
student/faculty ID. Another computer is a dedicated terminal for
searching the library online catalog (OPAC). There is a stand alone computer for using the many CD-ROM products that are not available
on the network.
The library subscribes to
on-line databases including, eLibrary Curriculum Edition, GaleNet
History Resource Center-United States, GaleNet Literature Resource
Center, ProQuest Platinum, ProQuest Historical Newspapers-The
New York Times,
Oxford Reference Collection Premium Edition and Encyclopedia Britannica, All
databases can be accessed from the classroom, the library, or from home.
Passwords and usernames for accessing these databases off campus can be
found by
clicking here.
