Fines
E-mails are generated daily to remind library patrons that a due date
is coming. These emails are sent two days before a book is due, one day
before and each day after the book is due. It is very easy to avoid fines...simply reply to the
first e-mail message and ask to renew.
Since it is so easy to renew, there is no reason not to! You
can call the library any time at 677-3873 x2122 to renew. There is a
book drop located in the front hallway of the Middle School where
you may return your book before it is due.
Fines are twenty cents a day, every day, including weekends and holidays!
Students are responsible for these fines. They add up VERY quickly. For example, if
there are three books overdue for a week a student would owe $4.20. This amount would need
to be paid at the library. The fine for lost books is the book
price plus a surcharge for processing. Please see the section on
lost
materials. If a book is more than two weeks overdue, the advisor will
be notified and we will begin the lost book process.
