Good and Bad Web Design
Good sites are simple, with small pages, and easy-on-the-eye colors.
Examples:
General Do's and Don'ts
-
Try to make the pages fit in 800x600 pixel screen.
-
Don't use Dreamweaver unless you are a certified expert in it's use.
-
Don't use fancy effects that someone else has shown you unless you know how to
fix them when they break.
-
If you get the message "This page contains both secure and nonsecure items" you
have probably done something wrong. Most likely your web site is secure and you
are referencing a photo on a non-secure site.
-
Don't link to other websites if they have pop-ups.
-
Don't use mouse following effects. The world has already seen them all, they are no longer
a novelty, they are annoying, and they offer absolutely nothing to the
substance of the web page.
