How to Make a DVD Movie
Background.
A movie on a DVD consists of a complicated file structure and two or more files containing the video and sound portions of the movie. The DVD burners at Cary Academy will make movies that can play on 80% to 90% of DVD Players and PC's with DVD players.
Once you have an avi or a video project, making the DVD involves two more steps. One method does both steps within the same program while the other method takes two programs to do the two steps. The second, 2-program method produces a better quality movie but is slightly more complicated to do.
The type of DVD media that can be burned on each of the PC's. RWs can be changed after making DVDs but the Rs can be burned only once. Use brand name DVD discs for best results.

Premiere Pro 2.0 can make DVDs directly from the video project. The current version of Premiere Pro 2.0 can make DVDs with fairly complex menus and submenus.
