Hi, my name is Matthew Ripley-Moffitt.  I teach the "World Cultures" course to sixth grade students at Cary Academy.  Cary Academy is an independent school located in Cary, North Carolina.  We are a learning community dedicated to discovery, innovation, collaboration and excellence.  There is a Middle School (grades 6-8) and an Upper School (grades 9 - 12).

Hiking and biking are my favorite ways to relax.  I also enjoy tennis, reading, and basketball.  Sea kayaking is a new addition to the list.   My favorite sea kayaking trip was a full moon, high tide tour on the Intracoastal waterway and barrier islands south of Wilmington, NC.
