The Performance Weekend - April 27-29, 2007
Public, Private, or Home-schooled students from throughout NC who auditioned for and were selected to the All-State Honors Band participated in the performance weekend at UNC-CH. Music was mailed to students a week before the event so they could practice on their own. After only 2 days of rehearsals together with nationally recognized conductors, the students presented a spectacular concert on Sunday afternoon. Details are below.

The Auditions - Saturday, March 3, 2007
Public, Private, or Home-schooled students who earned one of the top chairs in their District Band were eligible to audition for All-State. The audition consisted of learning a very challenging solo piece, memorizing and playing 6 or 7 major scales with arpeggios, and also sight-reading a piece of music students had never seen.
