Rehearsal information
This spring I have 4 students who are in a 1 section foreign
language class that meets during band. The teacher is kind
enough to allow them to rehearse with us occasionally, but I do
not know if they will be performing with us or not.

HONORS AND AWARDS
Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences was founded in 1986
as a K-12 magnet school located near downtown Chattanooga, and
has been recognized as a National Model Paideia School. It
currently serves, by design, approximately 1200 students, a
diverse population taken from every school zone in the county,
as well as a number of students from surrounding counties. The
Symphonic Band was formed in 1996 by its present conductor,
David Butler. Under his direction the CSAS Symphonic Band has
received superior ratings at Tennessee State Music Festivals,
and at both Dixie Classic Festivals and National Adjudicators
Invitational Festivals over the past ten years. The Symphonic
Band also performed at the inaugural Tennessee State Concert
Festival in 2006, an invitation-only festival for superior
ensembles in the state of Tennessee. The CSAS Symphonic Band was
named the Festival Honor Band at the 2006 Dixie Classic in
Atlanta, GA, and again at the 2007 Dixie Classic in Richmond,
VA. |
