Michael Raskevitz
This is my second year teaching math at Cary Academy. I am originally from Leverett, Massachusetts, a small town north of Amherst. I double majored in Mathematics and Middle School Education at Salem State College. My teaching experience includes a practicum teaching 6th graders at Collins Middle School in Salem, a practicum teaching 9th and 10th graders at Monash Secondary College in Clayton, Australia, along with two years teaching both middle and high school math at Hopkins Academy. I have coached basketball at Smith Academy, Amherst, and Hopkins, as well as coaching lacrosse in Amherst and on the northshore at the youth, JV, and varsity levels. Some of my interests include playing lacrosse and basketball, fly fishing, hiking, and reading. My main interests in math are history, combinatorics, and game theory.
