2003 Extemp Participants
Comments from 2003 Institute participants:

The instructors were more prepared than most of my school teachers. Their lectures gave me the important background information and speaking techniques to do Extemp.

The camp instructors not only provided historical background on topic areas, they gave us insightful analysis from multiple perspectives and their own inimical "takes" on the hot arguments for each.

The food was great!

Thank you so much for your dedication to the improvement of our understanding and confidence in extemp speaking!

Congrats to camp graduates Roger Shaw, Ed Winstead, Steven Wilson, Brittany Niccum (Jack Britt HS) for qualifying for the 2004 NFL Nationals in Salt Lake City in Extemp! And further kudos to Roger and Ed for breaking to the top 60 there! Also congrats to camp grad Will Harbour, NC state champion Extemper!

Congratulations to 2002 graduates Roger Shaw, Melih Ovural, Ed Winstead,  Rachel McMillan, Ben Walsh, Matt Jones, and Will Harbour  for qualifying for the 2003 NFL Nationals in Congress, International Extemp and U. S. Extemp!

2003 Congress Camp

Parent testimonial: My son's participation in the 2001Summer  Extemp Institute  sparked his interest in international relations, economics, politics, etc and finally gave him something to get excited about.  It has helped him get his focus and resulted in improved motivation and grades!  Thank you!
