Committee Meeting Minutes, 04/04/00

Present: Don Berger, Denise Goodman, Lori Mason, John Lucy, Dot Rosenbaum, Bob Roth

The meeting was called to order at 4:45 P.M.

Don Berger, chairperson, provided a draft of the leadership team’s recommended Parent Communication Paths for discussion, but Don was not able to stay for the meeting.

The committee first discussed the draft of the snapshot, At-A-Glance, prepared by the Admissions staff, depicting what Cary Academy is and what it is not. Numerous revisions were suggested. A new draft will be circulated to the various departments for verification of the information in this document. The new draft will be provided at our next meeting on May 2, 2000.

Next, the committee discussed two drafts of a Guide to Parent Involvement. One draft was prepared by the Advancement Office. The other was prepared by Dot Rosenbaum. The committee suggested the two drafts be merged.

Time did not allow for much discussion of the Parent Communication Paths. Committee members agreed to examine this document and be prepared to discuss it at our next meeting on May 2, 2000.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:00 P.M. The next meeting will be held on May 2 at 4:30 P.M. in Room A227 (Conference room outside Business Office on second floor).
