Attendees:  Bill Coulthart, Don Berger, Louise Romanow, Chuck Burdick, Marti Jenkins, John Miller and Jess Garcia 

Committee members reviewed the revised Middle School Trellis construction plans.  Members suggested the following:

• Lose the center pillars (center pillars on each side) and if possible lose all interior pillars.  The goal is to open up more space. 

• Ask about current design; will it hold up with heavy rain

• Bring roof along the entire building 

• Ask cost for adding lighting (ceiling lights)

• Use the same brick as the dug-outs (make Ann Goodnight aware) 

• Jess will ask what the minimum order for the brick pavers used across campus is (although current brick isn’t too sturdy when used as pavers)

• Check on cost of skylight, to provide light. 

• Run conduits outside, couple more outlets for electricity and data 

• Wire for network connectivity  (run both sides of entrance)

• Include cost of plantings in budget

• Include furniture in budget 

DB will let group know about the changes requested. 

Baseball dug-out update:

We are now at the point of painting the inside cinderblock in the dug-outs.  The committee suggested painting the cinderblock; something dark and the ceiling charger blue?    

The Facilities and Grounds Review Board should be given the opportunity to see all final design and construction plans.  They should learn of any actions taken or not taken on suggestions prior to construction.   

A donor’s plaque will be put up listing the families donating to the baseball dug-out fund.  The Committee recommended this plaque and other plaques for athletic contributions be placed in a designated area in the Sports and Fitness Center or SEA.
