Best Practice Manual presented by Guy M.
Adopted by staff and committee, discussed job description
for campus arborist and was agreed Bob is that person on
staff and will work with Jim on woody plants. In future we
will ask .Bob or Jim to be at every meeting
New Field house design updates
Bid ready plans are being drafted per new floor plan and
elevation including changes suggested by AG and Facilities
review board.
Possible use of waterless urinals staff to report back with
issues,
Landscape plan for new field area
Meeting with LR and designers all agreed to file for the
permit with the existing plant listing and re-file new
species and sizing standards next fall. Staff will notify
committee when that process will need to start
Sign Lighting
Agreed to try out one spotlight from Lowe’s Jesse will do
final installation. If CA does not have account keep
receipts for school reimbursement. Jesse please advise on
payment plan for Lowe’s. We also discussed possible us or
signs with arrows to complement the mapping system on campus
now. Staff to ask site designers for field expansion to
review our campus signage for possible changes to the
pathways plan for cars and pedestrians.
New Class project update PS
Class is in catalog may work on site selection of a possible
location for reflective reading. Committee resources can
help if planning materials are needed by class members. May
become multi term project that could see it thorough
installation we will see how this all develops.
Aerial photo and landscape layers can now start AC
will work around MS building JM to get newest file from
winter fly over.
Grounds Committee review Long Range Plan 2003-2007
Review what has been done
US amphitheater, outdoor furniture etc
Discuss items that may not be done
MS shade as proposed too costly discussed cheaper or
temporary structures as an alternative to old plan perhaps
distant from MS building
Prioritize important projects to remain in plan
MS amphitheater and US entranceway mentioned as still high
priority
Process to establish new ideas/goals from community
We will be receiving comments from school community from the
Facilities survey out now.
School Faculties Committee
Review past requests unrealized
Discuss items in LR plan of 06-07 implementations
Select listing of requests for committee to consider
We will meet in early April to discuss any new
recommendations and select items to forward on to Facilities
committee this year.
New Items
Extreme pruning still being done to small holly’s
directly in front of campus on Harrison. This area in plan
was to be pruned for health/safety reasons staff will ask JW
why he pruned here.
Web site LR/PS will work with webmaster to move a few
items around to our web site. Committee minutes, landscape
plan and long range plan should be added other suggestions
welcomed
As I noted above we will need to meet in early April with
survey results in and finish our list of priorities for the
facilities committee to consider. I suggest April 11th 330PM
for this meeting Get list to Don by the 13th and present on
18th |
