Discussed pruning map and was adopted for future pruning on Campus

Best Practice Manual presented by Guy M. at last meeting JG/JW
Jesse was out of town and no action taken until staff completes review of manuals JW confirmed he is following the existing BPM adopted and will review updated material and report back at next meeting.

Staff structure and Training
Job description for Campus Arborist is complete and will be provided at next meeting. Bob is attending tree seminars this week to help him with special woody plant issues and skills.

New Field house design
Briefly discussed location and Blue roof plan little room for landscaping/JM

Landscape plan for new field area
Review of plans showed very little plant diversity. Letter to be drafted for JM to send to Dennis Pitt landscape architect regarding more diversity and the use of native species in this plan

Faculty/Community Report PS
Sign Lighting
Two venders quotes ranged from 4900-2500 most liked the higher quote lamp but not the unit cost. Members will visit signs at night, consider priority Cost under 3k seemed in range to harder to stomach. Any other lamp sources out there??SM
New Class project update none

Grounds Committee review Long Range Plan 2003-2007
Brief discussion on items done or not realistic to remain on the plan There is still much work to be done, what is next??
Upcoming facilities resource process will be starting in late March. Committee needs position on new funding so lets look at plan see what is called for and meet the last week in March to finalize a request or two.
