Dear Parents of Cary Academy Students:

The Campus Master Plan Committee would like your input in developing a long range plan for Cary Academy that addresses its physical space needs, safety issues, and building and grounds appearance. To accomplish our task in an effective manner that builds community, we will be sending all employees, parents, and students an e-mail with the survey questions. In addition, all parents will receive a copy of the survey via U.S. mail. The committee would like for you to think in terms of the school's mission and take into consideration the present as well as the future (next five to seven years) when answering the questions. Dream about the ideal facilities and appearance for Cary Academy and how it would look different than it looks now. While students themselves will have the opportunity to do a survey, I would encourage parents to talk to their students about what they feel Cary Academy's needs are and consider incorporating those thoughts in their answers.

The survey needs to be returned in the enclosed self-addressed envelope by February 28th.* The Committee will begin compiling the information from the questionnaires in March. We will be making a presentation of our findings and recommendations at the Alliance Meeting on May 9th . After reviewing parent comments from that meeting as well as additional community feedback, will then present the Campus Master Plan to the school's Board of Directors at their board meeting on May 23rd.

On behalf of the Campus Master Plan Committee I would like to thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to think about Cary Academy's future. We feel that surveying our parents, staff, and students will give us the information necessary to best help our school to develop properly.
