Facilities Committee

Attendees:
Don Berger, Julie Hartz, Rebecca Kirstein, Jeff Kenney, Steve Hodgdon, and John Miller.  

Not Present: Morgan Smith, Kim Ray, Joelle Portzer, Aparna Chatterjee, Dennis Hoyle, Chris Karasek, Dawn Garthlehner, Jon Powell, Shannon Clark, Jess Garcia 

DB provided new members background on the Facilities Committee.  Every two years we conduct a comprehensive review of facility needs.  The committee’s recommendations are discussed (and hopefully approved) go to the Board of Directors and it helps the school decide how to move forward.   

Committee members reviewed the facilities plan development process and the survey.  Committee members suggested that DB include in his cover letter to the survey what long and short term plans we have already accomplished.  DB will ask MJ about how she wants to handle the survey process with MS students.   

Once the survey is completed and tallied the Facilities Committee will meet on April 6th to begin the review process of the survey results.  There will likely be 2-3 meetings in April.   

DB will ask JG how often we check the air quality.   

The pedestrian flow after the new fields are constructed will need to be evaluated.   

It was suggested that DB give the Facilities Committee a tour of the facilities at the start of its next meeting.
