- The committee members
reviewed the Campus Master Plan Survey. Suggestions
for the survey:
- Don Berger is to
write a letter to go along with the survey
explaining the survey and giving a timeline of the
committee’s meetings and survey deadlines. It
was also suggested that Don ask Parents to get
input from their students when filling out the
survey.
- Question 4. The
library should be included in the question
regarding the Administration Building.
- Question 2.
Regarding physical improvements to current space,
add "or play sports" to the question.
- Add a question 8 for
"Other Comments/Suggestions".
- Make the
questionnaire one-sided for ease in breaking up
the questions and distributing the data for
compilation.
- Note on surveys
"Parent Survey", "Student
Survey", and "Employee Survey".
- It was decided that in
order to get the best response from parents, the
questionnaires should be mailed out to all parents
with self- addressed envelopes. The survey will also
be e-mailed to all parents, students, and employees if
they prefer to answer electronically.
- Lyndsey Harrington and
Souvik Chatterjee will head up getting the students to
respond to the surveys. One will be responsible for
the Middle School and the other will be responsible
for the Upper School. They will work with the student
council officers to promote response.
- Matthew Gardzina will be
the faculty volunteer to coordinate their responses.
Division/Department Surveys will be sent to all major
divisions and Faculty Chairs.
- Duncan Anderson and Jeff
Kenney will be the parent
- Timetable of events and
future meetings:
- February 28, 2000
– Have Parent Survey returned.
- March 7, 2000 –
Next meeting to review initial information and
determine allocation of time needed by volunteer
coordinators for presentation of survey to
committee.
- March 10, 2000 –
Division/Department Surveys to be returned. (This
would give faculty the first week of the break to
discuss needs with colleagues.)
- March 27 and 28,
2000 – Committee meeting dates to hear
presentations regarding survey results.
- April 10, 2000 –
Meeting to establish priorities and fine tune
review findings.
- May 9, 2000 –
Public Forum at the Parent’s Alliance Meeting
regarding Committees findings.
- May 16, 2000 –
Meeting to finalize report before presenting to
the Board of Directors.
- May 23, 2000 –
Presentation at the Board of Directors Meeting
