Applications:
Most college websites now encourage the use of online applications.
Applications are generally available/posted by late July or early
August. Students may, however, apply with paper
applications, if she/he prefers.
Please note that even if a student
fills out his/her portion of the application online, he/she
MUST still print any forms required of the college counselor
and/or the teacher writing a letter of recommendation, and
give these to the college counselor and/or teacher.

The Common
Application has been developed by many private colleges and
universities (generally the more selective ones) as a convenient way to
apply to more than one college. It can be a wonderful way to reduce
paperwork and streamline the application process. If you are using a Common Application, be
sure to complete the supplement if one is required by the college to which
you are applying.
