Combines with Halogens to produce:
RaCl2
RaBr2
(most often sold, shipped, and stored as one of the halides.)
Radium combines with the sulfate ion,
SO42-, to form the most insoluable sulfate
known, radium sulfate:
Ra + H2 SO4
--> Ra SO4 + H2
Radium metal reacts with water to
produce the most soluable of all the alkaline-earth hydroxides:
2Ra + 2H2O
--> 2Ra OH + H2
