Platinums atom has 78 protons and 117 neutrons. There are a total of six energy levels. In the first energy level there are two electrons. In the second energy level there is eight electrons. In the third energy level there is 18 electrons. In the fourth energy level there is thirty-two electrons. In the fifth energy level there are seventeen electrons.
