Origin:
Manganese, combined with other elements, is widely spread in the Earth's crust. Manganese dioxide (MnO2) is most commonly found. All natural manganese is a stable isotope (manganese 55). This isotope exists in four modifications: the complex cubic structure (alpha phase) is stable at room temperature.
