Indium

Indium is a rare silvery-white, soft metal.  Indium got it's name from the indigo blue seen when looked at under a spectroscope.  A high pitched scream is let off when the pure metal is bent.  Indium is often used to make low melting alloys.  The world's leading supply of indium comes from Canada. Indium is in group 13 of the periodic table. Indium is considered one of the other metals on the periodic table, as opposed to a transition metal, alkali metal and so on. Indium forms ionic bonds.
