There are few common uses for the isotopes of Europium. However the isotopes have proved to be good neutron absorbers, and are currently being studied and tested for use in nuclear power and control. The three key isotopes of Europium are 151Eu, 152Eu, and 153Eu. Both isotopes 151Eu and 153Eu are considered stable isotopes, while 152Eu has a half-life of 12.7 years. The isotopes 151Eu and 153Eu are the two most naturally occurring isotopes, while 152Eu is common but only in laboratory creations.
