General Information

Dubnium is part of the Transfermium Elements.  Transfermium Elements are all the elements greater than 100.  Fermium is element 100, and Transfermium means beyond Fermium, simple yes?  Well Transfermium Elements are grouped together for three reasons.  The first reason is all the elements past 100 are made artificially; none of them naturally occur in the Earth's crust.  The second reason is it is extremely difficult to to make these elements.  There no more than a few atoms in Transfermium Elements that have been made so far.  The last reason is there is little information known about Transfermium Elements, because of the small amount of atoms, it is difficult to learn a lot about them.  There is no answer how how this element is obtained.

Here is a list of all the Transfermium Elements so far:

Natural Abundance:

Because Dubnium is man made, there is no data to show the presence of the element in humans the Earth's Crust or anywhere in the universe.

Uses:

Sense such little Dubnium ever made, there are no uses for the element, it has no biological role. The only thing close as an use for this element is to help scientist find out how heavy an element can get.

Chemical Properties:

There is no information of how Dubnium reacts with other elements because there has been so little made of this element and its life span is so short that scientist don't have enough time to observe the reactions of Dubnium and other elements.

Dubnium Compounds:

There are no binary compounds in this element, there are no signs of any fluorides, chlorides, bromides, iodides, oxides and hydrides
