Structure

Caesium has 55 protons, 55 electrons, and 78 neutrons.  The 55 protons and 78 neutrons make up the nucleus and the 55 electrons make up the electron cloud.  There are 6 shells in the electron clouds with S subshell as the valence shell.  In S the subshell, there is 1 orbital and there is 1 electron in the orbital.

The Electron Configuration is:  1S2 2S2 2P6 3S2 3P6 4S2 3D10 4P6 5S2 4D10 5P6 6S1
