Structure and Chemical Properties

The structure of a Lawrencium atom includes one hundred and three protons in the nucleus. The Nucleus also contains one hundred and fifty nine neutrons. There are 103 electrons in a Lawrencium atom. The electron Configuration is [Rn ] 5f 14 7s 27p1.
Even though it is not known or sure it is believed that the reaction tendencies would be similar to those of the element lutetium. If this is true than Lawrencium would most likely tarnish when exposed o air forming an oxide. If Lawrencium's reaction tendencies are similar to Lutetium than when put in water it would form a hydride.
