All That is Known About Reaction And Properties Salvia Divinorum is a trans-neoclerodane diterpenoid and does not resemble any other chemical that has the same psychotropic effects, because there is not nitrogen in its molecule. Salvinorin A, it's active ingredient, is the most potent psychoactive compound that has yet been found. Extremely minute amounts as little as 200 micrograms can have an effect. Despite this it has no organ damaging properties at extremely high doses. Salvia divinorum is the first known natural Kappa-opioid and it does not have any nitrogen atoms. It has a similar molecular effect as opiates however it is not addictive. Scientists have found that use of Salvinorin A discourages the use of other opioids but also things that have no relation to it such as cocaine. Not much is known about its reaction tendencies because it has not been researched enough. It activates kappa opioid receptors which causes the hallucinogenic effects of the Salvinorum A. The chemical is still mysterious and not much is known about it. Percent Composition By Mass Carbon = 63.87% Percent Composition By Number
