Environment

Ozone is nature’s way of cleaning the air.  It is nature’s best tool for cleaning the environment.

A very interesting thing about ozone is the fact that it can control microbiological growth through an exceptionally hasty method called “cell lysing”.  Normally people use chlorine to clean water, but chlorine kills by penetrating the cell wall.  This process usually takes countless minutes to complete.  On the other hand ozone kills directly by rupturing the cell wall which allows the cell’s cytoplasm to disband making reactivation unattainable.

Ozone is an environmentally safe treatment for water.  Ozone’s byproducts are oxygen and carbon dioxide, meaning ozone does not leave any sort of chemical residue or build up like other treatments do.

Through out the life span of Earth, natural processes have regulated the balance of ozone in the stratosphere.  Sad to say, scientist have found evidence that human activities are upsetting the ozone balance.

Ozone not only brings its share of positive benefits but it also brings negative benefits to our environment.  Ozone is a major air pollutant affecting agriculture.  Destruction had been notorious in field crops, including spinach, fruits, vegetables, and forest trees.  Indicators of ozone toxicity on crops appear as spots, tipburn, streaks, and premature yellowing of the foliage.
