Uses:

• To make amine oxides such as lauryl dimethylamine oxides(5).

• Used as bleach in wood pulp, paper, textile, and food industries(5).

• Used as a waste water treatment agent.  It helps to eliminate phenolics, cyanides, and sulfur compounds in industrial waste water streams(5).

• Used to etch, clean, and oxidize metal and electronics such as PCB and semiconductors(5).

• Use to sterilize the milk industry(5).

• Used as a disinfectant in medical treatment(5).

• Used as rocket propellant(5).

• Used for cosmetic and medicinal purposes(5).

Importance:

• Apply on cuts or skin abrasion to decrease the risk of getting infections(8).

• To help to bleach wood, paper, and textile to create white paper, clean wood, and clean textiles(8).

• Used to create other useful peroxides.

• Used in some toothpaste to help clean the teeth.
