Textbooks-Estimated Cost Range by Division
Middle School $150 to $250
Upper School $300 to $650

There are two types of textbooks that students will use over the course of the academic year—those that they will keep as their own and those that the school will issue.  There will be no charge for textbooks that are issued to students unless the textbook is lost, damaged, or not returned at the end of the academic year.  Textbooks that students keep as their own will be purchased individually as a separate cost that is not included in the tuition and fees above.  The estimated cost range reflects the difference in textbook requirements from one student to the next due to differing course selections.  In the Upper School, students taking advanced placement courses using college-level textbooks will have higher textbook costs.  The Upper School textbook list and purchasing information is mailed with the student’s class schedule at the end of May.  The Middle School textbook list and purchasing information is mailed as a separate mailing at the end of May.  All information is also posted on the intranet at the same time.  On the June tuition and fees billing statement, all students will be billed for a planner and sixth grade students will be billed for a sixth grade supplies bundle.

Other Costs

Locker clips, planners, calculators, physical education uniforms, and expenses (uniforms, equipment, and travel) for extracurricular activities, such as athletics, arts, and clubs, will continue to be billed separately as charges are incurred.  The nature of these charges will determine if the school direct bills these costs or if payment is requested in advance.
