CA @ Ravenscroft 2 - 1
The JV Lady Chargers defeated
Ravenscroft 25-20, 18-25, and 25-15.
The team came out with an agenda to defeat their
opponent and end their loosing streak. It started off with
Amy Holt and Alison Parker’s serving.
Sarah Roberts had 14 kills to led our team and Jeffie
Chang contributed with blocking and net play.
Overall the entire team contributed in the game on
and off the court. This was a well deserved win for the team
and a great way to end our season.
As a coach I was proud of how the teams determination
and will to be successful brought them out of a deficit. Go
Lady Chargers!

CA vs. Durham Academy 0 - 2
The JV Lady Chargers fell to Durham
Academy 23-25 and 16-25 on Friday night. The Lady Chargers
gave a great effort in the first game and then mellowed out
a little in the second game. Elise Everett came into the
game and gave the team a burst of fresh air with blocking
and net play. Katie Lipscomb also contributed with some
great passing from the back row.
The Lady Chargers play their last game on Tuesday at
Ravenscroft, come out and support our team.

CA hosts High Point Christian Academy 1 - 2
On yesterday the JV Lady Chargers lost
25-23, 17-25, and 11-15.
The Lady Chargers did an outstanding job in the first
game and lost their composure a little in the second game.
Not being consistent servers led to our demise in the second
game along with communication.
Yet, they gained a little momentum in the third game
battling back from a 7-1 deficit.
Sarah Higgs and Sarah Roberts were the leaders of our
game play. Sarah
Roberts had 17 kills total and great sets to set up our
other hitters.
Overall, the Lady Chargers did a good job against High
Point, considering their quick lost in their first meeting.
The Lady Chargers play Durham Academy today, come out and
support them.

CA vs. North Raleigh Christian Academy 0 - 2
The JV Lady Chargers lost against NRCA
21-25 and 5-25 on Friday.
The Lady Chargers were exhausted from their stay at
home from school.
They came out strong almost winning the first game
but could not get one player’s serves up to battle in the
second game. Thoughts of how great it was to be out of
school all day overwhelmed their thoughts leading them to
wander off into the relaxation phase. Hopefully they will
leave those great thoughts behind and come out and play on
Monday. Come out
and support their efforts against Riverside, Go….. Lady
Chargers.

CA vs. Ravenscroft 2 - 0
The JV Lady Chargers beat the Ravens
25-20 and 25-18. The team came out strong and determine to
be the crowds favorite in the game. Everyone played on one
accord making sure to connect each serve into a point.
The defense showed tenacity as they dug everything up
Ravenscroft’s team shot across the net. The team leaders for
this game were Meg Bryson with her awesome kills and serves,
and Amy Holt with her great defense and serving.

CA @ Wesleyan Christian Academy 0 - 2
Last night the JV Lady Chargers lost
their game 20-25, and 19-25 against Wesleyan.
The team played a much better game last night showing
up from their lost of confidence the game before. Even
though the team lost they played hard, gave it their all on
the court, and were more confident.
They were able to learn some lessons and be able to
apply what they have been working hard in practice during
the games. The
team showed a much brighter approach to playing and wanting
to be as one; a team.

CA vs. St. David's School 0 - 2
The JV Lady Charger’s fell to St.
David’s 22-25 and 11-25. The team did not put their best
efforts forward tonight bringing themselves down to a lost.
There was no player
who wanted to step up and set an example of how to play. So,
the team did not play aggressive or with any heart once
again. Hopefully whatever team showed up on last Thursday
will again grace us with its attendance. They travel
tomorrow to Weslyen where we hope they will show up.

CA vs. Durham Academy 2 - 0
The JV Lady Chargers came out of the
gate with attitude and determination and did not look back.
The team was focused winning the first game 25-19 with ease.
It was easy only because of constant communication, executed
serves, and intestinal fortitude. They have found what it
means to play with heart and motivation.
Then the team kept focused until the last point of
the second game winning 25-23.
The team was led by everyone in this game yet, some
key players were Kenzie Hopkins, Sarah Roberts, Meg Bryson,
and Claire Bridges.
Kenzie Hopkins led the team by staying focused on 9
for 9 serves, Sarah Roberts play on the net with 6 for 10
kills led the team in hitting, Meg Bryson’s setting to Sarah
and our other hitters led the team in setting, and Claire
Bridges helped the team by coming in and being productive
digging 4 for 4 balls.
The Lady Chargers have stepped their game up and
proving to themselves they are contenders.
We look forward to next weeks three games where we
can continue to strive for excellence.

CA @ North Raleigh Christian Academy 0 - 3
Last night the JV Lady Chargers fell to
the Knights 25-16, 25-23, and 25-22.
The first game the team decided to play it safe
bumping the ball over the net instead of attacking the ball
hard. This type
of play lead to the Knights picking up the ball and
attacking our free balls on our team like rapid fire. Yet,
they battled back in the second game with the fierce play of
Amy Holt and Kenzie Hopkins on the back row. Then in the
third game we just ran out of steam and intestinal fortitude
loosing against a team who was not better than ours. Yet,
their team wanted it more fighting to win up until the last
point. Someday, I hope the team will show up and play
motivated and determined to be the players they work hard at
being. Lets see what the team does in tomorrow’s game
against Durham Academy.

CA hosts Saint Mary's School 2 - 1
The JV Lady Chargers are on a roll with
another win against St. Mary’s. The team started out with a
lot of energy and attitude winning the first game 25-13.
Then in the second game the Lady Chargers became lax and a
little big headed from their easy win over St. Mary’s team,
losing 23-25. Yet, fait would have them deflate their big
heads and capitalize on hard work,
winning the third game 15-11.
The team was lead by Cailey Follet’s unbelievable
serving and hustle play in today’s game winning her the
player of the game title. The Lady Chargers take on their
next competition on next Tuesday, so come out and support
them.

CA vs. Forsyth Country Day School 2 - 1
The JV Lady Chargers put their
confidence into gear and squeezed out an excellent game
against Forsyth. The Lady Chargers won 25-11 the first game,
lost the second game 21-25, and then won the last game
25-22. The game player who kept our team above water when we
were sinking was Alison Parker. She was the one to keep
consistent serves and communicated at all times on the
floor. The team did better communicating and winning rally
points capitalizing on a well deserved win. Go Lady
Chargers!!!!

CA hosts Wilson Academy 0 - 2
The JV Volleyball team fell to Wilson
Academy 10-25 and 18-25. The lack of experience is still
fresh and new at the beginning of the season. In the second
game there were points of rally but we could never quite get
over the hump to capitalize on our rallies. The Lady
Chargers are taking note and will be working hard to fix the
things that aren’t productive.

CA @ High Point Christian Academy 0 - 2
The JV Lady
Chargers fell to High Point Christian Academy 22-25 and
18-25. The Lady Chargers were out maneuvered by an
analytical and more experienced team. There first opponent,
the heat on the bus ride to the game, smoldered the girls
leaving them exhausted even before they stepped on the
court. Sarah Roberts though, was a beast at the net pushing
past her exhaustion, in the second game bringing her team
from an 8 to 1 deficit. The team learned well deserved
lessons this game, only to help them prepare for future
opponents. The JV Lady Chargers take on another worthy
master mind at home on Thursday. So, come out and support
their efforts in becoming an awesome and analytical team.

match the team was lead by Meg Bryson’s 7 straight serves,
