Our Chargers took a commanding 4-2 lead is singles with stellar performances by Eric Alexy at No.1, David Wieand at No. 2, Evan Mann at No. 3 and Andrew Tie at No. 4.  Mike McCord and Kenji Jameel sealed the victory with a win at No. 1 Doubles.

  This was our final match of the season.

We wish the Varsity and Middle School teams the best in their quest for State Championships in the next two weeks.

Final Score:  Cary Academy 4  Grace Christian Academy  5

After splitting the singles 3 - 3 with wins by JT Jamieson at No.1, David Wieand at No. 5, and Kenji Jameel at No.6; a good performance by Patrick Luo and Paul Salisbury at No. 3 doubles gave the Chargers a chance to win but Grace Christian was just too strong at No. 1 & No. 2 doubles. 

 Next match, Friday, vs. Durham Academy at Durham Academy.  This will be our final match of the season.

Final Score:  Cary Academy 9  NRCA  0

Led by come from behind wins at No.1 singles - Mike McCloud and No. 4 singles - David Wieand, the Chargers dominated an inexperienced Knight's team.  Wins by Alex Spancake at No.2 singles, Eric Alexy at No. 3, Kenji Jameel at No.5 and Patrick Luo at No. 6 completed the singles sweep.  In doubles competition, Mike McCloud combined with Eric Alexy at No.1, Alex Spancake with David Wieand, and Kenji Jameel with Andrew Tie to finish the shutout.

 Next match, Wednesday, vs. Grace Christian Academy at Cary Academy.  This will be our final home match of the season.

Final Score:  Cary Academy 6  Ravenscroft  3

The Chargers fought hard against a young tenacious Ravens team.  Winning three of the six singles matches were: JT Jameison, David Weiand, and Eric Alexy. 
 With the score tied at three each, the Chargers took control of the match sweeping the doubles matches with Evan Mann and Andrew Tie at No. 1,
Declan Lockheed (playing his best tennis of the year) and Nick Smith at No. 2, and, Paul Salisbury and Nick Schumann finishing the victory at No. 3 doubles.

 Next match, Tuesday, vs. NRCA at NRCA.

The Chargers literally charged to victory tonight against an overmatched opponent.  Steamrolling through the singles, JT Jameison, Mike McCord, Alex Spancake, Kenji Jameel, David Weiand, and Eric Alexy all won their singles matches.  The dynamic duo of Evan Mann and Andrew Tie once again won at No. 1 doubles and Nick Smith and Paul Salisbury finished the victory at No. 3 doubles.  Next match, Wednesday, vs. Raleigh Grace at Cary Academy.

Our Cary Academy Chargers won a GREAT match against the Chapel Hill High team.  This match showed the tremendous improvement in our players this season.  The match was decided in the singles competitions with CA winning 5 of the 6 matches.  JT Jameison, Mike McCord, Alex Spancake, Kenji Jameel, and Eric Alexy all won their singles matches.  The dynamic duo of Evan Mann and Andrew Tie won at No. 1 doubles to cap this victory.  Next match, TODAY, vs. Durham Academy.

Final Score  Cary Academy 1  East Chapel Hill  8

Cary Academy lost to a very good, deep East Chapel Hill team.  The highlight of the match for Cary Acadmy was Mike McCord winning 11-9 at #2 singles.  All of the CA players showed improvement in this match and most of the contests were competitive even though the final score was heavily toward East Chapel Hill.

Cary Academy defeated NRCA on Tuesday.  JT Jameison, Mike McCord, Alex Spancake, David Wieand and Kenji Jameel all won easily in singles.  Paul Salisbury and Nick Smith won 8 - 1 at #3 doubles and in the match of the afternoon, Evan Mann and Andrew Tie won a come from behind tie breaker 9-8 at #1 doubles.

Cary Academy 4  Ravenscroft  5

Cary Academy lost a tough match against Ravenscroft.  Evan Mann played well in a 8-3 victory at #4 singles and we had a chance to win with two hard fought matches at # 3 and #5 singles.  Our Chargers swept through the doubles with JT Jameison and Mike McCord winning 8-0 at #1, Alex Spancake and Eric Alexy winning 8-1 at #2 and David Wieand and Andrew Tie winning 8-2 at #3.

Cary Academy split the singles matches with JT Jameison, Mike McCord and Alex Spancake winning at Nos. 1, 2 & 3 respectfully.  David Wieand and Declan Lockheed won a tie breaker at No. 1 singles, Evan Mann and Kenji Jameel won easily (8-1) at No. 2 and Nick Smith paired with Paul Salisbury to complete the doubles sweep.

Cary Academy 6  Forsyth Country Day 3

The JV Tennis Team charged out to a 4-2 lead after the singles matches behind wins by Mike McCloud, JT Jameison, Alex Spancake and Eric Alexy.  Declan Lockheed and David Wieand finished the win over the Furies of Forsyth with an 8-1 win in #1 doubles.  Kenji Jameel and Evan Mann closed out the contest with a 6-0 win at # 2 doubles.

Cary Academy put on a strong showing at number one singles and doubles winning 8 - in singles and 8 -2 in doubles against a good, deep East Chapel Hill team.  Mike McCord showed an excellent game in the singles match and with J.T. Jamieson played an outstanding doubles match.
