CA vs Saint Mary’s Academy 4 - 5
Again, we are reminded just how strong
and challenging our TISAC conference can be with the
Charger’s efforts against St. Mary’s.
There were numerous highlights for the evening in
the Singles line up:
#1, Kohagen, recovered from a 3-5 deficit to win the
first set, 7-5.
She quickly took the second set and match.
Late in the match, #2, Meir, found herself close to a
tie breaker, but fought back to win.
#3, Morgus, fell short at 3-4, regrouped, and did not
lose another game.
Amazing efforts!

CA vs Ravenscroft 7 - 2
Chargers win!
Chargers win!
Chargers win!
Possible the highlight of the season!
The whole team pulled this out with
their aggressive doubles, patient singles and overall
amazing team spirit.
The Chargers swept the doubles with a decisive 3-0.
The singles proved to be good, hard hitting play on
every court. On
court #6, Jackie Lee, made a tremendous come back and #4,
Tiffany Williams, pulled out a tough second set tie breaker
to win the match.
Congratulations to all!
The team and I would like to extend a
heart felt “thank you” to all of our parents and fans who
believed in us.
THANKS!

CA vs North Raleigh Christian Academy
7 - 2
The Chargers were successful in taking
their first conference win in the match against North
Raleigh Christian Academy.
The overall team score of 7-2 conveys an easy time
for the team; however, it was everything but that.
After the first round with doubles, the Chargers
found themselves staring at a deficit, 1-2.
However, an impressive display of concentration,
footwork and solid ground strokes, the Chargers did not lose
another match.
Congratulations to the entire team including those both on
and off the courts…..truly a team effort!

CA vs St. Mary’s Academy 4 - 5
In the “Chargers versus Saints” match,
we were reminded of the fact that a tennis match is won be
mere points and inches.
The Chargers were impressive to take the #1 doubles
position (team of Kohagen – Meir) before entering into the
singles competition.
We split the single with wins on our top three
courts: Kohagen, Meir, and Morgus.
Well done, girls!
Let’s focus on Oct 2nd….with Home court
advantage.
