Cary Academy Upper School Chorus Trip Behavior Contract

Only the very best behavior is expected from our students.  Please review the policies of the trip
with your son or daughter and then sign and return the form as directed.

T

  1. All schools rules and regulations as outlined in the school handbook must be followed.
  2. Chaperones are to be obeyed and respected at all times.  All interactions with chaperones,
teachers, and fellow students should convey respect and appropriate response for any request.
  3. Only room to room calls are to be made from hotel rooms.  Long distance phone calls are to
be made from cell phones or pay phones.
  4. Once rooms are assigned, no switching of rooms will occur.
  5. You are responsible for the safety and security of your own luggage, music and other personal belongings.
  6. There will be other guests staying at our hotel.  Be courteous, QUIET, polite and mature.  Other people staying in the hotel should not be disturbed.
  7. Limit yourself to one suitcase and one “hanging bag” (for your performance outfit) to be packed under the bus.  You must pack an extra bag for Saturday because we have to check out by noon and have free time until we head to the awards dinner and dance.  Leave all valuables at home (jewelry, etc.).  Keep cash and gift cards with you at all times – way down deep in your pockets or purse.
  8. Abide by the curfew established.
Curfew means in your room, quiet and lights out within 1 hour of curfew.
No one is allowed to leave his/her room for any reason, unless, you are given
permission by Mrs. Holcombe or Mrs. Velto.  You will need to call her
to leave your room, and you should not call unless it is an emergency.
The rooms will be taped (and by taped - I mean a 6” piece of tape from the door
to the door frame) – a visible display that you are in fact in your room.  Safety first.
  9. Be punctual. (curfew, “check-ins”, departures)
  10. Dress appropriately and modestly for all events.
  11. Not living up to the expectations will earn you the right to spend the
remainder of the trip with a personal chaperone.

I have read the rules regarding student behavior during our trip, April 18/19, 2008.  I understand all of the outlined rules and regulations therein.  I also understand that major violations will result in immediate disciplinary action and/or trip home (at parent expense), as well as other consequences to be determined by Cary Academy.  Please return this form no later than April 4.
