The audition piece is "Consecrate the Place and Day" .  Mrs. Holcombe has copies of the piece. 

Each student will be expected to learn the audition music mostly from a rehearsal CD.  You will need to bring in a blank CD.  After school or some Enrichment periods can be set aside for help with the song and sight reading, but each student who is auditioning must understand that most of the work must be done independently.  When a student is scheduled for extra help, he/she is expected to bring his/her rehearsal CD, the music and a pencil; otherwise the rehearsal cannot be very productive.  I do not plan to work with students individually until they have done work on their own.

__________________________ has permission to audition for the 2007 North Carolina Middle School Honors Chorus.  If selected, _______________________ will participate in the Honors Chorus weekend in Winston-Salem on November 10 & 11.  (Not participating eliminates another North Carolina student from participating.  Check your home and school calendars before committing.
