February 18, 2002
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. I am writing to you today as the Editor-in-Chief of The Advocate, a Cary Academy student publication in search of an audience. If you have chosen to visit The Advocate, I hope you will be pleased with our new look.
We as a staff have put in long hours to bring to you these articles which were written by our staff on topics we feel will be of interest. While we have a fine staff, we need contributors to fill the empty space in our web folders. We need people who have decided that they care about something. We need people who are willing to express their feelings about what is happening to our school and community. We need people who are not apathetic. We need people who care about having an online forum to express their opinions. We need people to read our online magazine. We have to ask ourselves, though, if we have readers, if our fellow students are interested in an online magazine for the exchange of ideas at Cary Academy.
The decision is yours.
Sincerely,
Brian C. Deaton
Editor-in-Chief of The Advocate
