Ever since the release of their US debut
self-titled album, the Backstreet Boys have been topping the charts
one song after the other. In 1999, with the release of
"Millennium," the Backstreet Boys set a record for sale
releases for that year, selling over 1.3 million copies of their album
in the first week, and over 30 million worldwide, making it 12 times
platinum. After taking a break for the summer of 2000 to record their
new album, the Backstreet Boys are back strong with a new hit single,
"Shape of My Heart." After only being on the air for a
couple of weeks, the Backstreet Boys have already re-claimed their
number one spot. Fans everywhere are looking forwards to the release
of their third US album, "Black and Blue", which is expected
to be released on November 21, 2000.
The new album is a change in style for the boys,
going from a pop sound to more of a r&b sound. They created and
produced most of the songs on the album. After working with many
different artists, and writing their own songs, they have created an
album that is one of the most anticipated albums ever. "Black and
Blue" includes 13 brand-new tracks:
1. The Call
2. Shape of My Heart
3. Get Another Boyfriend
4. Shining Star
5. I Promise You (With Everything I Am)
6. The Answer to Our Life
7. Everyone
8. More Than That
9. Time
10. Not For Me
11. Yes I Will
12. It's True
13. How Did I Fall in Love with You
Thanks to the support of Burger King, fans were
able to view one of the new songs, "It's True" on three of
their collectable CDs. Fans are also looking forward to a world tour
in early 2001. The pressure is on for the boys to see if they can top Millennium's
first week sale records. With the support of their fans
worldwide, their new album will be sure to top the record charts once
again.
