PREPARATION FOR CLASS
- Student will be required to dress out for each day in the Cary
Academy physical education uniform available in our student store.
Students may charge initial purchase of uniform but will need
parent consent for any additional items. Non-marking clean
athletic shoes are required.
- Each student will be provided a locker and lock in the fitness
center locker room to house required shoes and clothes. Adequate
time will be given for student to change clothes before and after
class.
- Physical education class will be conducted outside weather
permitting. Students may bring warm sweat clothes for outside use.
- Over the course of the school year 9 weeks will be devoted to
Health for all seventh graders.
CLASS POLICIES
Safety is top priority in physical education class. Horseplay,
improper use of equipment, and disregard for personal and/or
classmate safety will not be tolerated.
Students will be expected to treat each other with respect and
offer encouragement to those who are attempting new skills. The
curriculum offers many challenges in a wide spectrum of activities.
You may be highly skilled when it comes to basketball, soccer or
kickball but perhaps not badminton, tennis or hockey. Be humble!
Students are not permitted to touch/play with any equipment without the
permission of the physical education teacher NO EXCEPTIONS!
Students may not be in the gym unsupervised. If you arrive early to
class please sit and wait for the instructor.
