Suggestions for Assessment and Evaluation

Instruction and assessment are a continuous cycle for professional teachers; evaluation helps guide future instruction. There are continuous opportunities for teachers to assess students’ progress, both informally and formally, in a variety of settings and formats. Opportunities should exist for open-ended questioning and long-term representation of progress. In addition, self-assessment by the student should be included.
