Journal Entry by Kevin Rokuskie:

Hello!  We are all in China with our luggage.  We are currently in Shanghai.  We learned the flower of Shanghai is the Magnolia on the bus trip to the hotel.  The plane rides were long but it is worth it!  Everyone is excited about touring Shanghai on Wednesday.

The flight from Detroit to Tokyo was long!  Most of us slept off and on and watched the movies.  We actually had dinner and breakfast on this flight.  Our flight pattern was over Canada and then Alaska and the Aleutian Islands.  We went pretty far north and some of what we could see of Northern Canada was patches of ice and barren land.

The flight from Tokyo to Shanghai was only 3 hours.  That was nothing with the previous leg!  The plane arrived at 9:30 PM (9:30 AM in Cary) and then we meet our guide for the Trip Michelle and the local Guide Elisa.  The bus ride to the hotel was about 45 minutes or so and we arrived at 11:30 PM.  Everyone wanted to get showers ASAP and then try to rest for Wednesday.  So while you are all getting ready for bed we will be touring Shanghai!

We have taken some video shots and we will try our best to have that ready for the web on Wednesday!
